DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's volleyball team dropped a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match at Loras College Saturday afternoon, March 6. The Titans (1-9, 0-4 CCIW) fell in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-8, and 26-24.
Illinois Wesleyan finished with 17 kills to Loras' 29, while the Duhawks also led the Titans in aces (7-3), blocks (10-4), and digs (41-21).Â
Michael Eastman (Chicago, Ill.-Saint Ignatius) led IWU with five kills, an ace, and an assists.
Vic Gomez (Wheeling, Ill.-Wheeling) tallied a team-high five digs, while
Freddy Gamarra (Hackensack, N.J.-Hackensack),
KJ Johnson (Saint John, Ind.-Marian Catholic), and
Adam Blackmore (Geneva, Ill.-Geneva) tallied two blocks apiece.
Illinois Wesleyan remains on the road Wednesday, March 10, when the Titans make the short trip down to Decatur to take on Millikin University. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
