Women’s Tennis Begin CCIW Tournament Against No. 2 Millikin

First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Hanover Park, Ill.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team embarks on College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament play Thursday, Oct. 21. The Titans will play in the quarterfinal round against No. 2 Millikin University at Hanover Park, Ill. for a 3 p.m. first serve.

IWU clinched its spot into the tournament after defeating North Park University, 6-3 during the Titans' last regular season match Saturday, Oct. 16. With the win the Titans finished with an overall record of 3-8 and 2-6 in the CCIW to finish seventh in the conference. Millikin earned the No. 2 seed with a 10-7, 7-1 CCIW record.

Illinois Wesleyan advanced to the quarterfinals of last season's CCIW Tournament as well. After winning the play-in match against North Park 5-0, the Titans were bounced by No. 1 seeded North Central College, Apr. 27.

The Titans faced the Big Blue earlier in the season, Sept. 22 where they fell 9-0.
