Women's Tennis Drops Home Dual to Carroll

Titans close out fall dual action at North Park, Oct. 16

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team closed out it's home portion of the fall schedule with a loss to Carroll University Sunday, Oct. 10, at Beadles-Morse Courts. The Titans (2-8, 1-6 CCIW) were topped by the Pioneers (5-5, 3-4 CCIW) by an 8-1 tally.

After IWU was edged in tight doubles matches, the Titans saw freshman Marissa Hagler (Bloomongton, Ill.-Normal West) notch a win with a strong performance in singles play.

Competing at No. 5, Hagler dispatched her opponent 6-3, 6-3 and earned her second singles win of the season.

Illinois Wesleyan closes out College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual action Saturday, Oct. 16, with a trip to Chicago to take on North Park University. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.
