Women’s Tennis Fall to Thunder, 8-1

Titans return tomorrow for a CCIW Match against Elmhurst

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team fell to Wheaton College 8-1 Friday, Oct. 1. The Titans saw close matches but were unable to collect the set points as they dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Wheaton climbed to 6-1 and 4-1 in the CCIW.

At No. 2 doubles, junior Katelyn Heller (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard West) and doubles-partner freshman Amber Shuang (Bejing-Bejing Normal U) won the Titans lone match point on the evening. The duo went against Wheaton's Bethany Hoogerheide and Alexandra Wachs to come out victorious 8-6.

The Titans return to Beadles-Morse Courts tomorrow Saturday, Oct. 2 for a CCIW match against Elmhurst University.
