BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team returns to action Saturday, Feb. 22, as it hits the road for the first time this season for a non-conference bout at Ohio Wesleyan University. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
The Titans are in search of their first win of the season following a 15-11 setback at the hands of Rhodes College, Feb. 16. Junior Max Bousky (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Defensive Player of the Week after winning 20-of-26 face-offs and picking up 16 ground balls in last Sunday's game against Rhodes.
In the all-time series between Illinois Wesleyan and Ohio Wesleyan, IWU holds a 2-1 series lead with all prior games being played in Delaware, Ohio. Last year's game featured a four-goal effort by Rick Smith (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln Way East HS) as the Titans claimed a 17-15 victory after trailing 14-7 in the third quarter, Mar. 30, 2019. Daniel Dickerson (Wheaton, Ill.-St. Francis College Prep) picked up six ground balls and caused four turnovers.
