Will Rossi tied his own school record with nine goals as the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team got a 25-18 win over Elmhurst College on Saturday, May 4, at Tucci Stadium to win its third straight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's lacrosse tournament title.

Rossi, who set an IWU school and CCIW Tournament record with nine goals vs. Augustana on Wednesday, scored nine goals against the Bluejays as the Titans won for the 12th straight time.
IWU outshot the Bluejays, 70-48, and had 39 shots on goal compared to 36 for Elmhurst. Multiple-goal scorers in addition to Rossi were
Rick Smith and
Ty Collins with three goals each and
Danny Lowe and
Bailey Marth with two apiece.
Senior
J.C. Grabarek won 24 of 29 faceoffs while
Max Bousky won nine of 15. IWU led in ground balls, 42-31, with Grabarek getting 18.
Titan starting goalkeeper
Benigno Houser made eight saves against 11 goals in the first half and
Will Harris had 10 saves against seven goals in the second half.
Mac Harden and Ty Funderburk each had six goals for Elmhurst (11-6).
