The No. 2-seeded Titans are now 38-9 and will play at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, against Randolph-Macon College (30-16). The Yellow Jackets led 4-0 after the first half-inning but allowed three runs in the bottom of the sixth in losing by a 7-5 score to the No. 3 seed Emory University (37-12).

Mercede Daugherty hit a 2-2 pitch over the fence in left-center to give No. 7-seed Trine the win and send the Thunder record to 35-6. Trine will play Emory on Friday.

Junior leftfielder Brittany Murphy got two of the three Illinois Wesleyan hits with one being a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Senior centerfielder Jillian Runyon got the other IWU hit, an infield single in the third inning when IWU stranded runners at the corners.

Wiegand (23-4) threw 104 pitches in the complete game, striking out 10 and walking one.

For those who tried to watch the game on NCAA.com, they experienced a video outage due to an issue their partners experienced at iStreamPanet. It affected multiple Turner properties but had been resolved prior to the final game of Thursday.
