BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's tennis team suffered a 5-0 defeat to Wheaton College in the first round of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Tennis Championship on Thursday, May 2, at Bloomington's Evergreen Racquet Club.
The No. 7-seed Titans are 4-12 this season and will next play against tournament No. 6-seed Elmhurst at 8 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Mt. Zion (Ill.) High School. Wheaton, the No. 2-seed, improved to 11-9 and advances to play North Central Friday at 2 p.m.
