The Titans scored two runs in the third when, with two outs, junior shortstop
Sam Berghoff walked and came around to score when Fulk doubled down the leftfield line. A single by freshman first baseman
Colleen Palczynski chased home Fulk to put IWU ahead 2-0.
IWU tacked on two unearned runs in the seventh on hits by senior
Jillian Runyon, junior
Mia Massaro, and Fulk along with a throwing error by the MSOE catcher.
Wiegand was dominant in the circle again, striking out 12 and allowing just two hits with a solo homer. Her record improved to 21-2, just one short of tying the IWU single-season mark of 22 shared by Christy Engel (22-5, 2009) and Molly McCready (22-4, 2014).
