BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team needed 11 innings to win game two, 15-12, after taking the opener, 7-6, over Elmhurst College in a doubleheader sweep at IWU's Horenberger Field on Sunday, April 28.
With the two wins, Illinois Wesleyan improved to 18-15 overall and 11-8 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays are now 9-24 overall and 3-16 in the league.
In game one, IWU shot out to a 6-1 lead after three and a half innings to support starter
Eric Bennes (2-2), who struck out five in six innings, allowing eight hits and three earned runs. Senior
Nick Brune induced two ground balls and a flyout in the ninth inning to earn his third save.

Evan Ranneklev and senior shortstop
Stephen Billington each had two hits in a nine-hit IWU attack, all singles.
The 220-minute second game featured 27 total runs, 37 hits, five errors and 10 walks. Junior third baseman
Dalton Fletcher led the way with four hits while Skopick, junior first baseman

Ben Manski and senior leftfielder
John Bosco each had three hits as the Titans had 21 hits, the most since getting 22 vs. Hamilton College on March 14, 2018. Bosco, who had three RBI in game one, had two doubles and Skopick tied a school game record with two triples.
The ninth Titan pitcher in game two, Brune (5-1) had a blown save but got the win by working the final two innings.
