HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team lost its final Spring Break trip match in Hilton Head, S.C., falling by a narrow 5-4 score to Westminster College (Pa.) at Evian Park on Wednesday, March 13.
The Illinois Wesleyan Titans are 4-11 with a match at Illinois College in Jacksonville on April 20 remaining on the schedule. The Westminster Titans improved to 10-5.
With the teams even at 4-4, senior
Kayleigh Ruffolo, at No. 5 singles, was the last singles match to take the court. Ruffolo and Westminster's McKenna Robinson split the first two sets and Ruffolo trailed 7-2 in the tiebreak before rallying back to tie Robinson at 9-9, After two long points, Robinson won the match and provided Westminster with the victory.
