NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A 99th minute golden goal by sophomore Logan Servin (Milton, Wis.-Milton HS) was the lone tally as the Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team outlasted North Central 1-0 in overtime Wednesday evening, Oct. 9. IWU moves to 5-6-0 on the season and has a 1-1-0 record in CCIW play with the win.

A scoreless draw was broken in overtime as Servin notched his fourth goal of the season to give IWU the victory. Senior Alex Ruckstaetter (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard West HS) made one save en route to his first shutout of the season and the eighth of his career.

IWU doubled NCC's shot total (14 to 7) and also held the advantage in corner kicks (6 to 1). The Titans also turned in a solid defensive outing, only allowing one shot on goal from North Central.

IWU's next match will take place at North Park in Chicago, Saturday, Oct. 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
