RICHMOND, Ind. -- Junior
Doug Ballard scored two goals and the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team won for the fifth straight time, taking a 6-0 win over Earlham College in Richmond, Ind., on Saturday, Sept. 22.
The Titans are now 7-1-0 while Earlham is 1-6-0.
Senior
Blake Tempel opened the scoring early, putting it past the goalie at 4:05. Ballard scored both of his goals late in the first half, the first coming at 42:30 and the second, with an assist to sophomore
Keagan James, coming at 44:37.
Illinois Wesleyan tacked on three more second half goals coming from junior
Konrad Wasilewski (58:58), James (80:44) and senior
Chris Johnson (86:48).
The Titans posted 19 total shots with 15 shots on goal while the Quakers had one shot that was saved by junior goalkeeper
Alex Ruckstaetter.
What's Next?
The Titans play at Webster University in St. Louis at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 before launching into College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action next Saturday with a home game against Wheaton College at 3:30 p.m.
