CAROL STREAM, Ill. (Saturday, April 7, 2018) -- The Illinois Wesleyan University offense collected 18 hits and ended a five-game losing streak and scored a season-high in runs with a 15-4 second game win over Wheaton to split a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin doubleheader at Pfund Stadium in Carol Stream, Ill., on Saturday, April 7.
The Titans are 12-10 overall and 3-6 in the CCIW while the Thunder, who won the first game by a 3-2 score, is 13-10 overall and 4-4 in the league.
In the second game, junior leftfielder
John Bosco had four hits with a double and two runs batted in while freshman catcher
Eric Kozlowski and senior
Jake Stewart each had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Titans. Kozlowski had his three runs knocked in with a bases-loaded double in the sixth inning. Freshman
Quinn Gudaitis (1-0) picked up the victory with 3? innings of relief, allowing one unearned run while striking out four.Â
Wheaton scored runs in the seventh and eighth innings of the first game to rally for the victory. Bosco and senior
Gino Cavalieri each had two hits for IWU, who got seven in the game. Bosco's double was the team's lone extra-base hit.

Casey Becker (0-1), the fifth IWU pitcher of the game, took the loss.
