LISLE, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team improved to 3-0 with a 3-0 win at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The Titans, who improved to 3-0 this season, led 1-0 at halftime as a result of a goal by freshman
Cameron Hindel at 28:16. IWU led 2-0 when freshman
Megan O'Neal scored at 48:30 and senior captain
Cassie Leishman capped the scoring at 58:44 with an assist from
Jordan Ellerbrock.
Freshmen
Kelli McCarthy and
Kim Seper combined for the shutout, each playing 45 minutes.
The Titans had a 19-3 lead in shots and had 12 shots on goal compared to two for Benedictine, who fell to 0-3.

Illinois Wesleyan plays two home nonconference games at Neis Field this weekend, taking on the University of Chicago on Saturday at 11 a.m. and entertaining on Sunday.
