NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon, April 29, at North Central College at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium was cancelled due to persistent lightning in the area and will not be made up.

There was a 30-minute delay before the start of the game and another 30-minute delay at the 9:02 mark of the first quarter before the game was called off.

No. 2-seed Illinois Wesleyan (13-3 overall, 4-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) will host No. 3-seed Elmhurst (8-8, 4-2 CCIW) in a 4 p.m. semifinal game Wednesday, May 3, in the CCIW postseason tournament. The winner will meet the winner of the other semifinal match between conferrence champion and No. 1-seed Carthage (15-3, 6-0 CCIW) and No. 4-seed Augustana (7-10, 3-3 CCIW).
