ELMHURST, Ill. – Four Illinois Wesleyan pitchers limited Elmhurst College batters to four hits in a 3-1 conference win at Butterfield Park in Elmhurst on Wednesday, April 19.
 
The win gives Illinois Wesleyan a 16-11 overall mark and a 9-4 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays are now 15-13 overall and 8-6 in league play.
 
Sophomore righthander 
Nick Brune (2-1) worked the first six innings, allowing three hits and one run, while seniors 
Nick Huskisson, 
Jonathan Vlk and 
Sean Coonan each worked scoreless frames with Coonan striking out the side in the ninth to earn the save.
 
Junior second baseman 
Gino Cavalieri had three hits in a 14-hit Titan attack while freshman centerfielder 
Nick Figus, sophomore
Jonathan Broadbear and sophomore leftfielder 
John Bosco each had two hits.
 
Senior catcher 
Pat Mollo had a sacrifice fly to drive home a first inning run, the Titans scored on a Bluejays error in the sixth to snap a 1-1 tie, and Cavalieri walked with the bases loaded in the seventh to stake IWU to its final tally.

The Titans continue CCIW play with a doubleheader Saturday at league-leading North Central in Naperville, Ill., beginning at 12 p.m. IWU meets Augustana in Moline, Ill., on Sunday for a pair of games beginning at 1 p.m.
