Julie Josten was 2-for-2 with an RBI at the dish in game one while sophomore
Jillian Runyon was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI triple in game two.
With a pair of wins the Titans improved their overall record to 20-10 with a 5-5 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Elmhurst fell to 10-14 with a 1-5 record in the CCIW.
IWU scored four runs via error in game one en route to an 8-0 victory. The Titans got off to a fast start by scoring four runs in the first inning. Senior
Katie Caulfield drove home the only runners of the inning via base hit with a two RBI single up the middle. Josten capped off the four-run inning by scoring freshman

The Titans added three runs in the sixth inning to end the game via run rule. After Runyon reached on an error from the pitcher, freshman
Sydnie Wells scored the final run of game one. Runyon, Wells, Josten, and Caulfield plated runners for IWU in game one.

Brea Walker (6-3) earned the win in game one after allowing just four hits and one walk over six innings pitched. Walker struck out four in the effort. Emily Despain was the losing pitcher after allowing eight runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings pitched.
Elmhurst held a 2-0 lead through four innings in game two following an RBI single from Mikayla Melone and a solo home run from Rebekah Ondracek. The Titans were held scoreless through the first five innings of action.
A sacrifice fly from Fulk and an RBI single from Josten tied the game up at 2-2 in the top of the sixth. Illinois Wesleyan used a four-run seventh inning to earn the victory in game two. Runyon plated the first run of the inning with a stand-up triple to right-center field. After Runyon's triple the Titans scored runners in three consecutive at-bats. Freshman
Sydney Alery drove home Runyon with a single to center prior to being driven in by a double from freshman
Sam Berghoff.
Junior
Mackenzie Marquis earned a no decision in game two after allowing six hits and two runs over three innings pitched. Marquis struck out five in the effort with no walks. Walker (7-3) earned her second win of the afternoon by allowing just two hits and no runs over four innings.
Stefanie Sanidas was handed the loss after she allowed seven hits, five earned runs, and three walks in 6 1/3 innings.
What's Next?
IWU plays their first of three consecutive series on the road next week with a non-conference doubleheader against no. 15-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday, April 19. The Warhawks currently possess a record of 22-6 and have won five straight contests. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. from the Van Steenderen Field located in Whitewater, Wis.
