BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team had 11 players in the goal-scoring column on the way to a 17-5 victory over Augustana College at Tucci Stadium on Wednesday, April 12.

The win puts the IWU overall record at 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as Augustana slips to 5-8 overall and 1-1 against league foes.

Offensively, IWU outshot Augustana 68-27 and had a 40-15 advantage in shots on goal. The Titans had a 22-4 edge in face offs and won 51 ground balls to 22 for Augie. Sophomore midfielder J.C. Grabarek was 20 of 24 in face offs and had 13 ground balls.

Sophomore attacker Bailey Marth led the Titans with three goals and two assists while two-goal scorers were junior midfielder Nick Winter, senior attacker Jacob Perry, freshman Evan Anderson and senior Michael Julius, who had two assists

Senior goalkeeper Steven Laduzinsky made nine saves (58:56 playing time) and freshman Benigno Houser made one (1:04 playing time).

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Whittier College (Calif.) in a 4 p.m. game on Friday at Tucci Stadium before returning to CCIW action at 7:30 p.m. Saturday against Elmhurst.
