EUREKA, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team drained seven 3-pointers and shot 53 percent from the field in building up a 23-point halftime lead, then cruised to a 94-67 win at Eureka College in the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena on Monday, Dec. 4.
Twelve of the 13 team members scored in the game as the Titans improved to 5-2 overall with the win while the Red Devils slipped to 3-4.
Illinois Wesleyan led 19-16 after the first quarter but scored 15 straight points in the first 105 seconds of the second quarter to take a 34-16 lead and built it to a halftime advantage at 53-30. IWU's largest lead of the game of 38 points at 92-54 came with 3:23 remaining in the game.

Rebekah Ehresman became the 22nd player in IWU women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points, joining her classmate
Molly McGraw. Ehresman has 1,003 points while McGraw has 1,268 career points, which ranks No. 8 among Titan career records.

Riley Brovelli turned in 10 points with a game-high nine rebounds and a team-leading five assists in 15 minutes of playing time.
Illinois Wesleyan shot .440 from the field (37 of 84) and made all nine of its free throw tries while canning 11 of 24 3-pointers (.458). The Red Devils were limited to .377 from the floor (23 of 61), made seven of 23 3-balls (.304) and connected on 14 of 17 free tosses (.824).
IWU outrebounded Eureka, 46-39, with 18 coming on the offensive end, and the Titans forced 29 Eureka turnovers that translated into 37 IWU points.

Illinois Wesleyan is back in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action on Wednesday, Dec. 6 with a 7 p.m. home game against Wheaton College. The Thunder is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in CCIW play, the same as IWU.
