CHICAGO -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team used a 64-41 advantage over the final three quarters en route to a 77-56 victory over University of Chicago on Saturday, Nov. 18. Senior
Rebekah Ehresman scored a team-high 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half of action. Ehresman led the Titans with six assists on the afternoon.
With a win the No. 25-ranked Titans improved to 2-0 on the season while the No. 22-ranked Maroons fell to 1-1 overall.

Kelsey Walsberg scored seven points off the bench and added five assists.
Merritt tallied three of the teams 14 offensive rebounds, which the Titans utilized to collect 14 second-chance points.
Illinois Wesleyan trailed by two after the first quarter, 15-13, but used a 23-13 advantage in the second quarter to give themselves an advantage heading into halftime. The Titans turned 21 forced turnovers into 23 points. IWU held a commanding 34-20 scoring advantage in the paint.
Defensively the Titans allowed Chicago few solid looks at the basket, holding the Maroons to .250 percent shooting on 56 attempts and .200 percent from beyond the arc on 20 three's attempted.
Mia Farrell matched Ehresman with a game-high 17 points and Elizabeth Nye scored 13 off the bench to pace the Maroon offense. Olariche Obi recorded a game-high 15 rebounds, including seven offensive. Chicago's top returning scorer, Taylor Lake, was held to seven points on 3-15 shooting.

Illinois Wesleyan travels north to face No. 20-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. The Warhawks opened the season with a 75-64 victory over Elmhurst and will face Beloit College on Nov. 18 prior to meeting the Titans.
