CHICAGO, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team suffered their third consecutive shutout on Saturday Sept. 10, falling to No. 8-ranked University of Chicago by a final score of 5-0.
With a loss to a third-straight nationally-ranked team, the Titans fall to 1-3 overall, their worst four-game stretch since opening the 2009 season with an 0-4 mark. The Maroons improved to 4-0.
Illinois Wesleyan conceded an early goal at the 10:25 mark and were unable to limit the damage done by the Maroons throughout the remainder of the contest.

University of Chicago forward Madori Spiker notched a brace for the Maroons, scoring the game's first two goals to give her four on the year. Chicago's goalkeeper Katie Donovan played all 90 minutes to recorded her fourth shutout of the season.

What's Next?
The Titans return home next weekend for the Titan Soccer Classic held at Neis Field. IWU faces off against DePauw University on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. before facing either No. 2-ranked Washington University in St. Louis or UW-Whitewater on Sunday. DePauw sits at 4-0 before a mid-week match-up with Franklin College.
