BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team will host Augustana in the semifinals of the 2016 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men's Lacrosse Tournament at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Tucci Stadium.
Admission for the lacrosse tournament is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, youths (14 and under) with children 5 and under and CCIW students with a valid ID admitted free.
The No. 2 Titans are 12-4 overall and tied for the league title with 4-1 record while the No. 3-seeded Vikings are 11-6 overall and were also 4-1 in the league. The game is a rematch of an April 28 contest won on the road by Illinois Wesleyan, 17-13.
Both teams are making their second-straight conference tournament appearance after each won a share of the CCIW's regular season title this past weekend.
Carthage (8-9 overall) will host Elmhurst (6-10, 2-3 CCIW) in the other semifinal. The Red Men defeated Elmhurst 10-7 in Kenosha, Wis., on April 20.
Wednesday's winners will move onto Saturday's championship contest, which will be held at the highest remaining seed at a time to be determined. Augustana is the defending tournament champion, having beaten Carthage 10-9 in the 2015 tournament title game.
