MOLINE, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team was limited to only one ninth-inning run in a 10-1 loss to Augustana College in the title game of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Baseball Tournament on Sunday, May 15 at Swanson Stadium/Brunner Field in Moline, Ill.
 
The Vikings (30-12) earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, their first trip since the 2013 season. Illinois Wesleyan (24-19) can hope for an at-large bid as the full tournament field will be announced via NCAA.com early Monday, May 16.

The Titans were limited to eight singles in the game with two hits for freshman leftfielder John Bosco. The Titans' only run came in the ninth when, with one out, pinch hitter Seth Palmby singled to centerfield and was brought home on a single through the right side by freshman centerfielder Mitch Pfeiffer.

Junior starting pitcher Nick Huskisson (6-3) took the loss, going 2 1/3 innings and allowing three runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts.
