STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- After Luther College scored the first three points of the game, Illinois Wesleyan scored the next 20 to take a lead they held onto the remainder of the game, winning by a 90-69 score on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Wis.-Stevens Point Tip-Off Tournament.
The Norse are 0-2 as the Titans won their opener, leading for 38:55 of the contest.

After building up the huge early lead, IWU was challenged as Luther came within nine at 30-21 after the first quarter. The Norse got as close as two points on two occasions in the second quarter at 41-39 and 45-43 with 37 seconds before intermission. But the Titans, with a 48-43 halftime lead, outscored the Norse 21-14 in the third quarter to go up 69-57 after three quarters and also outscored Luther, 21-12 in the final 10 minutes.
In the game, Illinois Wesleyan shot .446 from the field (33 of 74) and .391 from 3-point range (9 of 23) while connecting on 15 of 24 free throws (.625). Luther shot .418 from the field (23 of 55).
