Titan Women Tie Franklin in Dual Swim Meet

FRANKLIN, Ind. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's swim team swam to a 111-111 tie in a dual meet at Franklin College on Saturday, Jan. 30. IWU has a dual meet record of 5-0-1 this season.

Junior Baylee Hoecker was the lone two-event winner for Illinois Wesleyan, taking first in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:00.25 and also winning the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:18.30. She also swam a leg on the first place 200 medley relay team.

Other individual winners for Illinois Wesleyan were:
1000 freestyle - junior Meg Stanley, 10:31.88
200 freestyle - senior Kirsten Slaughter, 1:59.40
50 freestyle - freshman Lisa Cheng, 24.64 seconds
100 freestyle - freshman Claire Michael, 55.72 seconds
500 freestyle - senior Lauren Dineen-Griffin, 5:22.40
200 medley relay - 1:53.12 (Hoecker, Alicia Tebo, Cheng, Slaughter)
200 freestyle relay - 1:41.74 (Slaughter, Michael, Dineen-Griffin, Stanley)

What's Next?
The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin diving championships will be next Friday (6:30 p.m.) and Saturday (10:30 a.m.), Feb. 5-6, at Fort Natatorium. The following weekend will be the CCIW men's and women's swimming championships, held Thursday, Feb. 11, through Saturday, Feb. 13 at Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
