BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 4-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team jumped out to an early first-half lead before keeping No. 20-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater off the scoreboard in a 1-0 win at Neis Field on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Illinois Wesleyan won its season opener for the third time in the past five years, while the visiting Warhawks dropped to 0-1. The Titans now hold a 5-2-1 record all-time vs. Wisconsin-Whitewater after dropping last year's game in Whitewater by a score of 1-0.
