GAME 5 - 4 p.m. Winner Game 4 vs. Loser Game 3
The opening game of the regional saw Simpson jump out to a 7-0 lead after two innings and claim a 9-3 win over Anderson (Ind.). After pushing across a single run in the first, the Storm added six in the second and limited Anderson to only three runs on seven hits, while pounding out 12 of their own. Pitcher Riley Fisher went the distance for Simpson, giving up three runs while striking out six. For Anderson, four pitchers combined in the losing effort with Sami Frazier taking the loss in one inning pitched while giving up four runs on four hits. Leadoff batter Stacie Brown went three-for three for Simpson with one run batted in and two runs scored while designated hitter Abbie VanFleet drove in two runs on a single to right center in the bottom of the second. Anderson second baseman Regan Sharp drove in two of the three Raven runs.
