Box Score 2 ORLANDO, Fla. - The No. 6-ranked Illinois Wesleyan softball team lost for the first time in 2015, falling 3-1 to Wheaton (Mass.) after putting an 8-0 loss on Husson earlier on Wednesday, March 11 in Orlando, Fla.
In the opener, the Titans (now 7-1) banged out nine hits and scored three runs in the first, one in the third and tacked on four more in the fifth.
Senior lefthander
Chloe Montgomery (6-0) was the winning pitcher, going four innings and allowing three hits and two walks with four strikeouts against Husson (2-3).
Freshman rightfielder
Maggie Graham had two hits and an RBI and Montgomery also helped herself with two runs batted in. Junior shortstop

The Titans outhit Wheaton (Mass.) in the second game but left seven runners on base in scoring only one run. Junior second baseman

Stephanie Prentice (0-1) pitched all seven innings and allowed three earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out three. Wheaton improved to 6-2 this season.
