Tim Smith scored his fourth goal of the game with 1 second remaining to give the Illinois Wesleyan men's lacrosse team a 12-11 win over DePauw at Tucci Stadium on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The Titans and Tigers are both 1-1 this season. The game was moved ahead one day to avoid snow and potential colder temperatures on Wednesday.
In addition to Smith's four tallies and one assist, IWU got two goals and four assists from freshman

Evan Mok-Lamme each had one goal for the Titans.
Freshman
Reagan Penner made 17 saves for IWU and Zach Taylor made 14 for DePauw. The Tigers got three goals and two assists from Andrew Wright with one goal and three assists from Ben Sherman.
The Titans built up an early lead of 3-0 and led 5-4 at the end of the first quarter. The issue was tied at 6-6 at halftime and 9-9 at the end of the third quarter.
Both teams had 37 ground balls and DePauw held a 43-40 edge in shots. The Tigers won 13 of the 25 faceoffs.
What's Next?Illinois Wesleyan has over a week off before its next game, playing at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va., to open their spring trip on March 7.
