Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team was without their leading scorer and was unable to find any rhythm shooting the ball in a 86-61 defeat to Elmhurst at the R.A. Faganel Hall on Saturday, Jan. 24.

With the loss the Titans are now 8-10, and 2-5 in the CCIW on the season, while the Bluejays are 10-8, 3-4. IWU saw its 18-game winning streak against Elmhurst snapped, with the last loss to the Bluejays coming back in the 2005-06 season.

Gabrielle Holness due to a knee injury, was able to keep with the Bluejays for most of the first half, trailing by 11 in the final minute before cutting the halftime lead to 41-35. Freshman
Molly McGraw led the Titans at the half with 10 points, while
Kaitlyn O'Boye had a career-high five points at intermission.

Elmhurst slowly built their lead up throughout the second half, eventually building a 25 point lead with 5:22 left in the game. Illinois Wesleyan suffered from a five-of-13 effort from the charity stripe in addition to shooting only 27-of-67 from the field.

The Bluejays held a 38-30 advantage on the glass over the Titans, and benefited from 15 second chance points compared to only seven for IWU.
