ELMHURST, Ill. - No. 16-ranked Illinois Wesleyan softball banged out 11 hits in a 9-1 win in game two after losing 4-3 in game one at Elmhurst on Sunday, April 6 at Salt Creek Park in Elmhurst, Ill.

The Titans are now 17-4 overall and 4-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Bluejays are 9-5 overall and 1-1 against CCIW opponents.

In game one, Elmhurst score single runs in the first and third and put up two more in the fifth to lead 4-1. The Titans added two in the sixth on a home run by Sara Rogers. Rogers, who also had a double, and sophomore Kyley McKeown had two hits for the Titans.
Senior Molly McCready (8-2) took the pitching loss as she went 2 1/3 innings and allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Chloe Montgomery allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings.

After falling behind 1-0 in the second, IWU scored four in the last of the second, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth to close out the game with the 8-run rule. Rogers had four more hits, including a double, with four runs batted in and Hannah Bowen had three hits with a double and two RBI to pace the offensive attack.
Sophomore Jenna Noland (8-2) picked up the win, allowing one unearned run on five hits with eight strikeouts.
