ORLANDO, Fla. – In the final game of the Illinois Wesleyan softball team's Rebel Spring Games appearance in Orlando, Fla., senior pitcher 
Molly McCready struck out 10 batters to help the Titans defeat Marietta, 2-0, on Friday (March 14) morning.
 
IWU is now 7-2 after spending the week in Orlando, Fla., while Marietta fell to 4-5.
 
In the second inning, senior second baseman 
Sara Rogers singled to leftfield to score 
Katie Caulfield and give the Titans a 1-0 lead.
 
Rogers doubled to leftfield in the fourth inning to score IWU's other run of the game, scoring sophomore centerfielder 
Kyley McKeown, who had reached on a lead-off single.
 
In six innings, McCready (3-1) had the 10 strikeouts and allowed two hits and one walk. Junior 
Chloe Montgomery worked the seventh inning to pick up the save.
 
What's Next?
The Titans will travel to St. Louis, Mo., Saturday March 22 for the Washington University Tournament. IWU will face the host school at noon, followed by Coe College at 4 p.m.
