McGraw's 25 Helps IWU Past Rose-Hulman, 70-55

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Freshman Molly McGraw scored a career-high 25 points to pace the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team to a 70-55 nonconference win over Rose-Hulman at the Shirk Center on Saturday, Dec. 20.

The Titans are now 6-3 while the Engineers slipped to 6-4 this season.

The score was tied at 29-29 at halftime before the Titans went on a 10-0 run, with six of those points coming from McGraw, to grab a 39-29 lead with 17:03 to play. The Engineers closed to within two at 39-37 with 13:08 left but were never closer as the Titans led by as many as 16 points (64-48) with just under 3:00 left.

The Titans scored 36 points off 37 Rose-Hulman turnovers but the Engineers held a 37-25 rebounding advantage and scored 36 points in the paint compared to 28 for Illinois Wesleyan.

Who's Next?
Illinois Wesleyan will play next on Sunday, Dec. 28, in the Montclair State (N.J.) Tournament against No. 21-ranked Salisbury at 7:30 p.m. (ET). On the next day, the Titans will play either the No. 7-ranked host school or Baruch at either 1 or 3 p.m.
