Molly McGraw scored a career-high 25 points to pace the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team to a 70-55 nonconference win over Rose-Hulman at the Shirk Center on Saturday, Dec. 20.
The Titans are now 6-3 while the Engineers slipped to 6-4 this season.
The score was tied at 29-29 at halftime before the Titans went on a 10-0 run, with six of those points coming from McGraw, to grab a 39-29 lead with 17:03 to play. The Engineers closed to within two at 39-37 with 13:08 left but were never closer as the Titans led by as many as 16 points (64-48) with just under 3:00 left.
The Titans scored 36 points off 37 Rose-Hulman turnovers but the Engineers held a 37-25 rebounding advantage and scored 36 points in the paint compared to 28 for Illinois Wesleyan.
