BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Sophomore Austin Harrell became the 13th Illinois Wesleyan player to rush for more than 200 yards in a game as the Titans closed out the regular season with a 35-21 win over North Park at Tucci Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 15.

With the win on "Seniors' Day" as 15 seniors were honored pre-game, the Titans' season finishes with a 4-6 overall record and a 2-5 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin mark while the Vikings slipped to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the CCIW.

"There were a lot of things to be happy about," IWU coach Norm Eash told Randy Kindred of The Pantagraph. "The big thing is our kids came out with a passion to win this last game for the seniors. They did that and also started a foundation for next year."

Harrell ran 26 times for 220 yards, the eighth most in an IWU single game, and ran for one touchdown. He also made one catch for 79 yards and returned a kickoff for 20 yards to accumulate 319 all-purpose yards in the game, the second most in an IWU game, behind the 329 by teammate Artie Checchin earlier this year vs. Franklin.

Freshman quarterback Jack Warner rushed 18 times for 49 yards and four touchdowns, one off the IWU single game record, while throwing for 224 yards with 14 completions in 25 attempts.

Warner found sophomore tight end Quincy Butler for five catches and 53 yards while junior wide receiver Andrew Javorka made four catches for 52 yards.

The Titans jumped ahead 20-0 and led 28-7 at intermission. Illinois Wesleyan had 515 yards (in 74 plays) of total offense compared to 306 for North Park (62 plays). The Titans had 224 passing yards and 291 riushing yards while the Vikings managed only 19 rushing yards and the other 287 via the pass as T.D. Conway completed 27 of 46 attempts.

Defensively, IWU was paced by sophomore linebackers Sean Garvey and Luke Roth with seven total tackles each while senior Niko Garcia had six tackles and an interception. Junior Ben Bouie also made an interception for 23 return yards.
