Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team finished the 2014 campaign with a 2-0 defeat coming at the hands of North Central College at Neis Field on Saturday, Nov. 1.
With the loss, the Titans finish the season 7-12-0 and 1-6-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the visiting Cardinals improved to 10-7-1 and 3-4-0 in the CCIW.
IWU honored eight seniors on "Seniors Day", but were unable to send them out a winner as NCC found the back of the net in the 7th minute (6:08) to take an early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would then push their lead to 2-0 in the 81st minute (80:13) to take a 2-0 lead, which would end up being the final score.
The Titans outshot North Central College 17-7 including a 7-2 shots on goal advantage, but the Cardinals were able to make the most of their two shots on goal by converting them into goals.
