NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Six Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball players scored in double digits en route to a 102-69 victory over North Central Wednesday night on the Cardinals' turf to extend their record to 15-7.
The Titans are now 8-3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, while North Central is 11-11 overall and 4-7 in the conference.
♦ IWU jumped out to an early lead in the first, by as many as double digits, as the Cardinals trailed for most of regulation until they came within one point, 29-28, with 6:37 on the clock.
♦ However, the Titans did not let NCC come any closer, going on a 11-6 run to close the first half at 48-34.
♦ IWU picked up where it left of in the second half, leading the Cardinals by 20 points, 58-38, with just two minutes into play.
♦ The Titans' largest lead of the game was 34 points, when
Taylor Reaber made a layup with 4:08 on the clock to bring the score to 94-60.
♦ IWU concluded the game with a 54.8 field goal percentage, despite going 0-for-4 from behind the arc. The Titans also went 50 percent from the free throw line.
