GREENCASTLE, Ind. – Five players scored in double figures as Illinois Wesleyan never trailed in the game en route to a 92-78 win over Illinois College in the third place game of the 2013 Midwest Challenge in Greencastle, Ind., on Sunday, Dec. 1.
In scoring a season-high 92 points, Illinois Wesleyan improved to 4-3 overall and the Lady Blues slipped to 3-3.
IWU made its first six shots from the field and built up as much as a 20-point lead by shooting .523 from the field (19 of 36) in the first half and led by a 51-40 score at the break. Illinois College scored to get back within nine points at 51-42 with 19:29 remaining but it was all Titans from then on.
Illinois College outrebounded the Titans, 41-33, and the Lady Blues were guilty of 25 turnovers compared to 16 for Wesleyan.

IWU will play at the University of Chicago next Saturday (Dec. 7). The Maroons, who play at Wheaton on Wednesday, are 3-2 after an 80-65 home court loss today to Carthage.
