Titans Conclude Scoreless in 2 OTs Against Stars

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – In double overtime, the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team concluded its match against Dominican University in a scoreless tie Tuesday (Oct. 15) afternoon in River Forest, Ill.
 
The Titans pose an 8-5-2 record, while the Stars are 7-4-2 in the season.
 
It was a physical game between IWU and Dominican, as both teams totaled 32 fouls. But despite 23 shots by the two squads, no one was able to get the ball past a goalkeeper in 110 minutes.
 
Eight Titan players got shots off, as Adam Flaugher and Brian Morefield were the lone players to shoot on goal.
 
Titan goalie Andrew Reed had two saves, while the Stars' Gabriel Gongora also had two saves.
 
IWU will return to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play Saturday (Oct. 19) in Wheaton, Ill., against Wheaton at 7 p.m.
