Katy Seibring scored 24 points with 10 rebounds as the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball responded from a 10-point first half deficit to claim a 74-65 home court win over North Park on Wednesday (Jan. 30).
♦ In winning for the 18th straight time in the series vs. North Park, Illinois Wesleyan improved to 14-6 overall and 7-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. North Park slipped to 13-7 overall and 4-5 against the league.
♦ The Titans trailed by a 27-17 score with 3:35 to play in the first half but went on a 9-2 run to close to within three at 29-26 at intermission. The game was tied at 33-33 at 18:26 in the second half and IWU took a 37-36 lead with 17:15 to go in the game, a lead they never relinquished. IWU led by as many as 12 late.
♦ North Park committed 18 turnovers compared to 14 for the Titans and the Titans earned a 45-42 lead in rebounds as junior
Lexi Baltes joined Seibring with 10.
