BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 22-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team shot 70 percent in the first half (21 of 30) en route to an 86-61 win over Millikin at the Shirk Center on Wednesday (Jan. 25). It is the 11th straight win for IWU.
The Titans improved to 14-4 overall and 7-0 at the halfway mark of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin season while Millikin ebbed to 11-7, 3-4 CCIW.
IWU cooled off in the second half and finished at .547 from the field (29 of 53) while making 7 of 20 3-pointers and 21 of 30 from the free throw line.

Olivia Lett scored 22 to lead IWU while sophomore
Shelby Jackson came off the bench to score 18 and junior
Melissa Gardner added 16.
The Titans were outrebounded 46-42 as Lett collected 9 boards and sophomore
Lexi Baltes grabbed 7. The Big Blue snared 22 offensive rebounds and got a team-high 7 boards from Cecily Aldridge.
Millikin shot just .282 from the field (20 of 71) and connected on 7 of 21 3-pointers and 14 of 26 from the charity stripe.
Millikin was led by the 15 point effort of Julia Robert, who hit 5 3-pointers, and 11 from Heather Pruemer.
Both teams committed 24 turnovers.
NOTES: Lett became the 18th player in IWU history to eclipse 1,000 career points and now has 1,010 in her career...The Titans have won 10 straight against Millikin and now trail the series against the Big Blue 49-27 (since 1972-73)...Illinois Wesleyan is 6-1 at the Shirk Center this season...
