BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team opened its 2011 season with a 3-0 shutout win over Principia at Neis Field on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The Titans got their first goal from junior Kyle Gorgol at 9:44 of the first period with assists to Danny Kenny and Angelo Catalano.
Junior Tim Griffin scored an unassisted goal at 63:44 and Sam Peniak added a goal on an assist from Jeff Graham at 75:01.

Andrew Reed had the shutout for IWU, recording one save. The Titans outshot the Panthers, 14-4 and had eight shots on goal.
