MONMOUTH, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan softball team improved to 9-3 with a pair of wins at Monmouth College on Wednesday, March 30. The Titans took the first game, 9-1, and the second, 10-1.
In game one, the Titans had 11 hits as freshman catcher
Sara Daley had a single, double and a three-run home run and sophomore third baseman
Emma Clark had a two-run home run as IWU scored four runs in the top of the seventh.

Molly McCready improved to 2-2 with the win as she pitched five innings, allowed only one hit and struck out five. Sophomore

The Titans banged out eight hits with home runs again from Daley (a two-run homer in a six-run fourth inning) and Clark (a solo shot in the first). Sophomore leftfielder

Illinois Wesleyan opens College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play with a 1 p.m. home doubleheader on Saturday, April 2, against preseason CCIW favorite Augustana. The Titans also host Elmhurst at 1 p.m. for a pair of games on Sunday, April 3.
