Gorgol's Goals Help IWU to 2-2 Tie in Men's Soccer

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior co-captain Kyle Gorgol scored two second half goals to help the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team to a 2-2 double overtime tie with North Central on Saturday, Oct. 8, in Naperville, Ill.

The Titans are now 5-5-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Cardinals are 9-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the league.

Gorgol scored his first goal at 49:35 and garnered his second tally at the 61:46 mark. Both goals were unassisted.

North Central had taken a 2-0 halftime lead with unassisted goals from Jake Johnson at 23:36 and Jake Muszczynski at 36:30.

The Titans outshot the Cardinals, 15-9, and also had a lead in shots on goal, 8-2. IWU keeper Tim Hegwood had no saves in the match while the Cardinals' Phillip Klipp had six saves.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Millikin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12.
