BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team remains the only unbeaten team in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin after a 85-69 win over Wheaton at the Shirk Center on Wednesday, Jan. 19.
The Titans improved to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in the CCIW while Wheaton fell to 11-4 overall and 4-1 in the league.

With the game tied at 4-4 early, the Titans scored nine straight points to claim a 13-4 lead and led the Thunder by nine points at intermission, 46-37.
Wheaton scored the first five points of the second half to close to within four at 46-42 and were within two at 62-60 with 10:01 to play before the Titans went on a 12-0 run to lead 74-62, fueled by 3-pointers by Lett and
Holly Harvey.
Illinois Wesleyan held a 39-26 edge in rebounding over the Thunder with Arlis and senior
Hope Schulte each grabbing eight.
Illinois Wesleyan made 33 of 65 from the field (50.8 percent) and connected on 10 of 17 3-point free tries (36.0 percent) while making 10 of 17 free throws (58.8 percent).
The Thunder shot 41.3 percent (19 of 46) from the field and made six of 20 (36 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc. Wheaton made a sizzling 25 of 29 free throws (86.2 percent).
Laura Karsten scored a game-high 26 points and had eight rebounds and Brooke Olson scored 10 for the Thunder, who committed 21 turnovers compared to 17 for IWU.
Illinois Wesleyan next plays at North Park at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22.
