SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team improved to 6-2 with a pair of wins on Saturday, Sept. 25. The Titans beat St. Ambrose, 6-3, and Illinois-Springfield, 5-2.

Freshman Lauren Drawbridge won three of her four matches, including both doubles matches played with partner Alissa Goetz. At No. 3 doubles, Drawbridge and Goetz beat the team of Heather Matejka and Mary Nodland of St. Ambrose, 8-4, and downed the pair of Brook Tweedy and Claire Connor of Illinois-Springfield at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.
Drawbridge also beat Nodland, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 6 singles.

Goetz was a four-time winner Saturday, winning her doubles matches and both her singles efforts. She topped Matejka of St. Ambrose at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-1, and bested Tweedy, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles later in the day.
