BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball got 26 points from junior Stacey Arlis and defeated Wheaton, 87-70, in the annual WBCA "PinkZone" game at the Shirk Center on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The Titans improved to 22-1 overall and 11-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Thunder dropped to 13-10 and 6-6 in the conference.

Arlis was 11-of-15 from the field and snared five rebounds in the win. Senior Christina Solari got nine rebounds to lead IWU, who were outrebounded in the game by a 45-37 margin.

Junior Hope Schulte contributed 17 points and junior Nikki Preston added 15.

Wheaton got an 11-point, 10-rebound effort from Sarah Jones and also got 11 points from Brooke Olson. The Thunder committed 31 turnovers to 18 from IWU.

The Titans, who led 42-36 at the half, but jumped out to a 9-1 start in the second half and led, 51-37. IWu shot 46 percent from the field (34 of 74) and made five of 22 3-pointers (23 percent). The Thunder was limited to 40 percent shooting from the field (24 of 60).
