Balanced Scoring Leads Titan Women Past St. Francis

JOLIET, Ill. - Junior Olivia Lett and seniors Nikki Preston and Stacey Arlis each contributed 14 points as the Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team posted a 76-59 win at St. Francis in Joliet on Monday, December 6.

The No. 13-ranked Titans, who led 35-27 at halftime, improved to 4-2 while the Fighting Saints fell to 5-7. IWU jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never trailed in the game.

IWU was 29 of 65 (.446) from the field, made seven of 23 3-point efforts (.304) and hit on 11 of 18 free throws (.611).

Arlis, who had five assists, was also the game's leading rebounder with nine as the Titans held a 39-38 rebounding advantage and also forced St. Francis into 34 turnovers while committing 22.

The Fighting Saints, who shot .367 (18 of 49) from the field for the game, were led by the 20 points of Bradi Fudik while Julie Schiffler scored 13 and Michelle Karr had 10 points.

The Titans play next at No. 8-ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11.
