STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Senior Stacey Arlis led four players in double figure scoring as the No. 13-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team won 76-72 at Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Berg Gymnasium  on Saturday, Dec. 11.

In a game that saw 19 lead changes, the Titans won their fourth straight game and improved to 5-2 while No. 18-ranked Stevens Point fell to 7-2

In addition to the 20 points from Arlis, who fouled out of the game, the Titans got 19 from junior Olivia Lett, 12 from senior Hope Schulte and 10 from senior Holly Harvey.

IWU made 18 of 19 free throws (.947) in the win while the Pointers connected on only 12 of 22 (.545).

Led by nine from Schulte and seven from Arlis, Illinois Wesleyan outrebounded the Pointers 39-26.

IWU, who led by as many as nine at 59-50 with 14:25 to play in the game, shot at a .472 percentage from the field (25 of 53) and connected on eight of 21 3-point free tries (.381). Stevens Point shot .483 percent (28 of 58) and made only four of 15 (.267) from beyond the 3-point arc.

Britta Petersen scored 22 and Andrea Flease added 14 in the loss. Stevens Point, who had won five in a row coming into the game, held an early eight point lead at 11-3 and the game was tied as late as 70-70 with 2:45 to play before four Schulte free throws helped the Titans to the win.

Illinois Wesleyan will play at Olivet Nazarene at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13 and then play at home against Loras on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.
