Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After tying the game at 2-2 in the 61st minute, a late goal gave Principia a 3-2 win over the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team on Sunday, Sept. 6 at IWU's Neis Field.
Principia scored at the 2:12 mark of the game on a goal by Yaw Danso on an assist from Colin Angle. The Titans evened the score at 1-1 in the 18th minute on a goal by freshman
Tim Griffin with assists from
Scott Woodward and
Paulo Michelini.
Principia took a 2-1 lead with a goal by Ricky Seaman at 37:07 with an assist from Paul Olsen.
The Titans'
Aaron Moore fired in a shot after a nice pass from
Robert Tabaka at the 60:34 mark but Principia (2-0-1) closed out the scoring at the 78:49 level on the clock on a shot by Spencer Brown with an assist again from Olsen.
Principia outshot IWU, 10-7, and Titan keeper
Win Fisher made one save.
